Smooth No.1 In The North West
Figures released today by industry body RAJAR confirms Real Radio is still the No.1 commercial radio station in Wales*, and has added 15,000 new listeners to its reach in the last quarter.
Listener loyalty has grown as the station hits over 4 million hours of adult listening per week, up 5.8 % quarter on quarter, resulting in listeners tuning in for an average of 11.8 hours each week.
The station remains Wales’ biggest commercial station attracting 342,000 adult listeners every week and has seen its market share increase to 10.8% from 10.5 % quarter on quarter.
Real Radio Wales’ Programme Director, Ricky Durkin said: “We are delighted by these figures. Real Radio is part of the fabric of Welsh life, and these RAJAR results prove that listener loyalty is on the increase. This is testament to the hard work of the entire team, ensuring that Real Radio remains as entertaining and informative as ever”.
